Severe Toothaches or Sensitivity

Experiencing intense tooth pain or heightened sensitivity can be a sign of a more serious dental issue, such as cavities, gum disease, or a cracked tooth. Our team will conduct a thorough examination to identify the cause of your discomfort and provide immediate relief, whether it requires a filling, root canal, or other necessary treatment.

Broken or Chipped Teeth

Accidents can happen, leading to broken or chipped teeth. Whether it’s due to trauma from sports, a fall, or biting down on something hard, we can help. Our skilled dentists will assess the damage and may offer solutions such as bonding, crowns, or veneers to restore your tooth’s function and appearance.

Knocked-Out Teeth

If a tooth has been knocked out, it’s crucial to seek immediate dental attention. Time is of the essence! If you can, gently rinse the tooth, handle it by the crown (not the root), and try to place it back in the socket. If that’s not possible, store it in milk or saliva until you reach our office. We’ll work quickly to attempt to save the tooth and ensure the best possible outcome.

Swollen or Bleeding Gums

Swollen or bleeding gums can indicate gum disease or other underlying conditions that require immediate attention. Our team will evaluate your symptoms, provide treatment options, and educate you on proper oral hygiene to prevent further issues.

Common Emergency Procedures

When you arrive at our office, your dentist will assess the situation and provide you with their recommended treatment options. As an example, a broken, damaged, or decayed tooth can be brought back to health with a dental crown. A toothache can have several causes, and if an underlying infection is causing your oral pain, root canal therapy may be the best option for you.

Tooth splinting is another common restorative procedure, and can be used to stabilize a loose or knocked-out tooth and allow for proper healing. We try to avoid tooth extractions if possible, but they can be a necessary procedure in some cases in which a patient is experiencing a severely damaged tooth that can’t otherwise be fixed.

Our Patients Have to Say.

I have been going to Dr. Pozzi for over 11 years now and I have nothing but great things to say about his care. Attentive, gentle, precise, efficient and my teeth have never been better. Their Hoboken location is great; super easy to access from my home in Jersey City. The office is sparking clean and Giselli, the front desk/office manager, is great at following up to ensure I have my appointments scheduled and is very accommodating. I highly recommend BOOM Smiles.
